I know - I think this is the perfect role for him! It's not toooo eccentric or wacky, it's just brooding and affected enough to really be in Depp's wheelhouse. Movies like this and "Donnie Brasco", I think, are the ones where Depp really shows what amazing actor he is - he's not just a Tim Burton puppet.
