Is IKEA Heights really filmed secretly in the IKEA store?

''IKEA Heights'' is a dramatic video series allegedly secretly filmed at the IKEA store in Burbank, California.

Is it really "secretly" filmed? Do the IKEA people know they are there? Does IKEA approve of this?

That is pretty funny that they made a drama episode at the IKEA store. As for whether or not it was 'secretly filmed', there's nothing that suggests other wise.
According to the directors blog, he claims he just shot it without permission:

If any employees saw them, which definitely is possible, they probably didn't care that much, and might have even been interested in what they're doing.

As for IKEA's approval, I don't think they asked, they just did it. Not asking adds to the 'thrill' of it.
