In Season One, what was the crime Kate was being pursued by the federal Agent ?

The Agent told Jack, "Don't trust her, she will do anything to escape". What did Kate do?

I'm going to assume you are talking about the show Lost?? If so, she was wanted for being a fugative and suspected in killing her stepfather who had molested her previous years before. She later finds out that her "step-father" was her real father all along.. But yeah, it was for killing her dad, blowing up his house while he was in it.

No, she killed him in spite, but felt justified in doing so because of all the pain he had caused her mother and her. She didn't want to go to jail.
