In Lost Season Three, "Who is Jacob"? Why does Ben take orders from Jacob?

Why is Jacob important? Ben respects Jacob and tells John that Jacob will know what to do next.

Who is Jacob? That is a question many LOST fans would like answered. So far we believe Jacob is the leader of the Others. In the Hatch, Ben referred to Jacob as a "Great Man" Mikhail said he was recruited by a magnificent man, whom many believe he was referring to Jacob.

As of season 3 we have yet to find much information out about Jacob. They mystery will not be answered until the final season.

But I guarantee you that you will regret it if you have not watched past season 3.
