I do not feel that your dream is out of reach. I do not know your age or anything about you but I have always been told to follow your dreams. I also believe that we are here for some reason or another and maybe this is your calling. Follow them, no not let anything get in your way. Get up the courage to begin classes and go from there. What a fun and active career !! And oh what self grification and joy one can get for completing such an achivement.
