I'm actually going to disagree (don't throw tomatoes!). Hear me out:

Don't boycott Kanye unless you just think his music isn't good. This goes for all artists: Buy the music that sounds good to you, and don't buy the music that doesn't sound good to you.

This would solve a myriad of problems. If we don't pay attention to the artists, then we don't give them the spotlight to act like spoiled children (a la Kanye, or Britney, or Jessica Simpson, etc.). I wish their album sales would not rise and fall based on their coverage in the media. I wish their album sales would rise and fall based on the quality of music they create, their poetry, their composition, their musical performance.

What if it was still just about the music.

No publicity stunts. No "who's dating who?". No mugshots. No awards.

Just the music. That would be so nice for a change, and maybe music would get really good again.
(Not a Kanye music fan, could you tell?)
