Like Ledger, Brad Renfro died before last year's Oscar ceremony. However, Renfro was not included in last year's memorial reel. They had this to say about it when fans demanded a reason for his exclusion:
"It is simply not possible to include everyone in that segment."
So, yes, for Brad Renfro, it was an intentional snub. Ouch!

I also would like to know why Heath Ledger AND Brad Renfro were left out of the Memorial Reel?
How could the Academy forget or overlook adding Heath Ledger to the Memorial Reel? Unbelievable. Brad Renfro was also left out. Both actors died in 2008. I think it was intentional.
