There a plenty of reasons why Donald Trump might have picked Joan over Annie, but we can only speculate. Here are some reasons I liked Joan better:

1. The stamina she has at her age
2. She played the game with more integrity
4. She's more likable then Annie
5. She did remarkably better at the final task
6. Joan is a bigger star then Annie
7. Joan's charity was better

Mr. Trump outlined 5 criteria that he said he would be judging during the final task. Joan and her team won 3 out of 5 of those categories. Plus, Joan has shown great heart during this entire game. Sure, she has said some mean things, but it was always in response or defense of herself.

Ultimately it came down to whoever Trump believed could raise the most money. In the end he felt it was Joan Rivers. He also gave her bonus points for showing energy throughout the competition.
