Just for the record I have yet to watch an episode, I made a deal with my wife that we will watch it on DVD when the whole thing is done.
We want to make sure it does not get canceled leaving the world with a massive cliffhanger ^_^

I was also very frustrated with this as well... until I just let it go and simply enjoyed the show. I accepted that I got SOME questions answered and let everything else be a great mystery (or let my imagination make stuff up).

I think he means that all the unsolved mysteries will be solved in that season (At least let's hope in that way) ;)
Otherwise there would be no use of those mysteries. Or else they may decide to leave the mysteries to be solved by the imagination power of the audience. :p

No chance it will be canceled, but at this point, waiting for all the seasons to come out on dvd is not a bad idea. Then you can watch them all in a row.

No... I don't think everything will be resolved. In fact, I remember that the creators said something to that effect as well. They wanted a show full of mysteries that didn't necessarily get resolved. I was also very frustrated with this as well... until I just let it go and simply enjoyed the show. I accepted that I got SOME questions answered and let everything else be a great mystery (or let my imagination make stuff up).

I found this quote from Wikipedia where ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson announced about the last season of Lost. ----quote----

I actually don't find it annoying, I find it intriguing. I love that the show is so unique, that you can't just guess what it's about - there are so many possibilities. But because there are so many mysteries on that show, I don't think there's any way for them to answer all of them in one season. But if they can at least answer these questions, I'd be extremely satisfied: http://www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20209564_20209584_20291928,00.html

That's what makes it so great, because they leave you with so many burning questions that you can't wait until the next episode. Fear not, the producers have a plan and they should answer most of the questions by the end of the series. This is the last season coming up so expect a lot of the big questions to be answered.
