George Carlin Tribute: What is your favorite quote AND video by George Carlin?

As you must know, Carlin died from heart failure on June 22, 2008. (sniff) As a tribute, I'd like to see everyone post a favorite quote AND a favorite bit/clip. There are over 4,000 on Youtube.

Here's mine: "Some people see things that are and ask, Why? Some people dream of things that never were and ask, Why not? Some people have to go to work and don't have time for all that." George Carlin

I love George Carlin. It's so sad that he's gone. One of my favorite sayings of his is "NIMBY" which is "Not In My Back Yard". That one is great and probably his most famous line. Another great one is where he discusses Saving the Planet: "The planet will shake us off like a bad case of fleas."

Alas, no video handy, but I do have a quote:

"Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck."

Although there are a lot of very intelligent, insightful bits to choose from with Carlin, I have to say my favorite is still his bit on "guys named Todd" and other "soft" men's names. My favorite quote:

"I Tucker, I'm Todd! Hi Todd, I'm Tucker! F--k Tucker, Tucker sucks!!"

Profane, blunt, and pure Carlin.

I always loved his bit about mandatory office drug testing.

"If I can show up high to work and you can't tell...that means I win!"

Also, his response to airline pilots being called "captains" is classic:

"Did I sleep through some sort of Air Force swearing-in ceremony? Tell the captain Air Marshall Carlin says 'go f-ck yourself.'"

But for my money, nothing beats the stupid/full of sh-t/nuts syllogism. Genius:

It's called the American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it.

I like this one because I've only ever heard it quoted once. Sad now, in retrospect, but if you can't laugh at Carlin even in death you missed what he was trying to tell you:

For those keeping track, I'm ahead of Richard Pryor in heart attacks 2-1 but he leads 1-0 in setting yourself on fire. It went a little something like this, first Richard had a heart attack, then I had a heart attack. Then Richard set himself on fire and I said, "F*** that I'm having another heart attack!"

I had the good fortune of seeing Mr. Carlin perform live before his death. Although I don't have a specific quote, I can't help but add "Stuff" to our tribute list.
