It's 'Bale', and yes for the most part. It reminded me of "Vampire's Kiss" w/ Nicholas Cage, in that most of the movie involves the audience seeing things from the protagonist's point of view, which we at the time do not realize is not entirely based on reality. Only at the end is it revealed that most of what we just saw came from inside the main character's head.
