Doctor Who : What are the similarities and differences between Robots of Death and Isaac Asimov iRobot series?

Robots of Death to me, sounded alot like iRobot. What do you think? Did the producers of Doctor Who get their inspiration from Asimov?

Are you trying to suggest Asimov provided the inspiration for the Doctor Who series "Robots of Death". Asimov was the reigning king of sci fi. Numerous tv shows used Asimov material.
