Certainly! Some of the movies are famous for their theme songs or OST.
In the 70's and 80's, if you can't make money from the movie, at least you can make some money from the soundtracks.
These are some of my fav:
1. The Godfather-1972
Andy Williams' Speak Softly, Love (from 'The Godfather')

2. Saturday Nite Fever -1977
Stayin Alive - The Bee Gees
The beginning of Disco Fever:

Answered Question

Mahalo is adding a tip to all questions that don't offer a tip.
Could a movie theme song (including the singer) could add impact to a certain movie?
I observed that every movie had a movie theme song attached to it, be it on the first part, middle and at the end of the movie.

Yes! It happens! For example, I think the following songs (and singers) did that: - Song: “What a feeling” (Irene Cara) – Movie: “Flashdance”
- Song “Unchained Melody” (Righteous Brothers) – Movie: “Ghost”
- Song “Theme from Dying Young” (Kenny G) – Movie: “Dying Young”
