AtCheckpoint #17 and point 4, it is impossible to jump to safety. It is easily done at point 2 but impossible at point 4.

This was actually talked about in Game Informer Magazine. It's glitch. A lot of people have tried to find ways around it. Even the developers have tried to fix the glitch, but for some reason it's an internal problem with the game tht if fixed it can ruin the rest of game.
