I read it over and for the most part I agree with what he said. Obama is promoting unity and working together to end bipartisanship. Booing at the republican representative and refusing to stand for President Bush is not a step in that direction. Even if you don't agree with Bush's policies or ethics - which I certainly do not - there's a time and a place for everything, and rude actions and comments in the middle of such an important ceremony is an embarrassment to the American public. I think we have every right to criticize the Bush administration - but Obama's inauguration ceremony is not the time or place to do it.

We need to stand together, and be grateful that we were all able to witness history in the making. I am proud to say I am American, and that I voted for Obama....
Again. i agree with Ashton, but those who are disrespectful towards OUR president need to be respectful too..
Thanks.

I agree with ashton. But the same thing goes for those people who voted for McCain and say they wont support Obama. They need to. He is not MY president. He is not Your president. But OUR president. We need to stand together to get things done. If people are only going to be one-sided, then how can this country unite? It will be Republicans vs Democrats, and that is not the way that it is supposed to be. We need to stand together, and be grateful that we were all able to witness history in the making. I am proud to say I am American, and that I voted for Obama....
