Just to clear the record; there's no such thing as the "real" Wolverine. Unless you think that Hugh Jackman (the actor who portrays the character in the movie) would use the Twitter name Wolverine.

Do you have any sources to back that up?

Are you serious?

Okay... http://www.marvel.com/universe/Wolverine_(James_Howlett)

"Wolverine" is a character conceived for a comic book. If he were on Twitter, who would "he" be? Maybe a publicist for Marvel, but not the fictional character "James Howlett;" he does not exist in real life.

Haha, no I wasn't serious. I was sort of making fun of you for pointing out extremely obvious. The question was worded oddly though.

When I read "Does anyone know if it's the real Wolverine?" I got concerned and felt compelled to respond! ;)

While you might not have thought Wolverine was a real being, @yagelski's point that if Hugh Jackman was on Twitter it's unlikely he'd use the handle Wolverine is a good one.

So if it's not Hugh Jackman, the nearest thing to a "a real Wolverine" you could get on Twitter is someone that's being paid to do PR for the movie by Tweeting as Wolverine. But that probably wouldn't count as "the real Wolverine" in anybody's book. Not mine anyway. :)

As much as folks enjoy the X-Men, don't overlook the fact that the University of Michigan "Wolverines" (as well as some other schools) may also have a few fans who are Twitter users who use some form of that moniker as well.

If it's twitter.com/wolverine then no, that has nothing to do with the Wolverine movie. If you give us their twitter name, it will be easier for us to tell.

The twitter name was Wolverine747 but the account has been
"suspended due to strange activity."
