Anyone planning to watch part 1 of the remake of V on ABC tonight?

You could feel free to catch up on the 80's V by watching V, V: The Series, and V: The Final Battle as its aired in marathons over the past few days on the sci-fi channel.

I refuse to call it Syfy...

Yep, I'll be watching it. I already have my DVR set to record it. I'm hoping that it'll be good. It looks like it will be based on the previews, but tonight we'll find out. What drew me to it is the fact that Elizabeth Mitchell is starring in it, and I love her as Juliet in Lost. It'll be interesting to see what type of different spin they'll put on the remake, if any at all.

Update: I watched it last night, and I actually liked it. The only problem I have with it (and even the original) is how people could be so gullible as to believe the aliens so quickly. You wouldn't see me flying up to their ship for a tour just a few weeks after landing here!

NO! I was such a fan of the original that I was upset to see that they decided to remake it! Hollywood is running out of ideas,seriously.

It looked moderate the first time I saw the ad, but through repetition of the commercial it seems slightly better. I think I may just be highly influencable, though.

But the commercial really didn't produce a setting or story to me. There's no mystery there. Aliens land, Man ponders what to do about aliens. It's been done. Sometimes the aliens end up good and man questions self for being so questioning, sometimes the aliens end up bad and man questions self for not killing them immediately.

Yes, Sir! I loved the original series and I want to see what is going with this new version. Besides, Morena Baccarin ( Anna ) is pretty hot.
