Anybody catch Jason Calacanis on the Adam Carolla podcast posted last night? What did you think of it?

http://carollaradio.com/2009/04/13/acp-20090414-adam-and-jason-calcanis/

i thought it was a great podcast, covering everything from "How to make money podcasting," to "Why Mexican cuisine has terrible deserts."

funny at times, insightful at times - a good listen, regardless of how you feel about Adam Carolla.

there's an extended discussion on tipping/bribing, which i think sheds a lot of light on this whole "tipping" feature built into Mahalo Answers.

Great show with lots of laughs, as always. I listened with the hope that Jason would have some Internet secrets, as I've just launched a new web business myself. That being said, I still found myself cracking up as I listened during my workout. A.C. should have Jason back, or perhaps Jason can record his own podcast seminar. I'd love to hear what he has to say.

• i was looking for a bit more, too - but as a whole, really enjoyed it. thanks for the input!

I too would love Jason to do his own podcast, I'm sure thousands of people would tune in. And knowing his good nature, he could even get it sponsored and have the money given away to charity.

i'm a fan, too - i moved out a market where he was on the radio to one where he wasn't, and streamed his show for a bit ... but just couldn't get into it.

this podcast is a perfect solution.

though i wish he'd get a better engineer ... seems like every 3rd episode or so is plagued by technical problems.

I really enjoyed the podcast, but I was hoping he would have gone more in depth on the business side of how he became who he is today. His childhood was very interesting, haha. I wish my father taught me useful stuff like that.

agreed; i'm a fan of the personal stories, but i think they should be tuned-down in lieu of content.

i was talking about it with a buddy of mine last night, who put it perfectly.

"if some dude is a bad-ass, master craftsman of something, i want to hear him talk about his trade ... not his golf game or playing high-school football with his buddies."

Long time Adam Carolla fan, and now a fan of Jason! I thought they were great together I would love to see a monthly episode with the two of them, some comedy, some info: a good balance of the two. Best hour of my day.

I'm new to Mahalo and I've heard Jason on TWIT. I'm not a tech nerd but a talk radio fan. (Un)fortunately, I've now converted to FREE podcast subscriptions. (Adam should never go paid subscription...uh, hello!) I'm still upset 97.1 is now a computerized playlist but I agree with Jason...Adam is much better on his podcast than radio...raw, intelligent, engaging...a little Love Line-ish and wonderful. Anyways, Jason, you're freaking crazy! I thought you were a nerd on TWIT and Adam made me realize you're totally gangster. HILARIOUSLY ENTERTAINING...I hope you are a guest again. Help the Aceman buy a new car (like yours).

i'm not sure i'd go as far as "gangster" personally, but yeah - i'd never heard those stories before and they shined a whole new light on Jason Calacanis's persona.

It shure does shed some light on the whole ''tipping'' thing. It was funny and interesting, it caught my attention enough to hear the hole podcast.

I thought it was great. It was the first Adam Corolla podcast I've listened to because I always love when Jason is on TWiT, and I think I'm going to subscribe to Corolla from now on.
