How do I preview emails within MSN Hotmail's viewing pane window without them automatically appearing as read?

Their new user interface is useful, but only if there's a way to preview emails without them going automatically from unread (i.e. in bold) to read after you scroll over with mouse. Frustrating for someone who likes to stay on top of unfinished email business, ugh! Please help...

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you can't. Several people have asked the same question and the answer is always you can't. You can set it up so that it doesn't show the first message automatically in the pane. This makes it so you don't automatically set the first message to read before you have a chance to look at the list and decide what you want to read.
