Yeah, this particular Fireman effort is not a rather self-indulgent experiment in electronica like the first two kind of were...this one uses real instrumentation and concentrates much more on songcraft. I think this time Paul took the lead and Youth just kind of wrangled all the gold together and molded it into an album. It's Paul kind of sounding raw and bluesy...
That said, I'd do some sampling before you buy, which you can do on Amazon...see below link.

I've been hearing good things about "Electric Arguments." As a Beatles fan, would I enjoy it?
Last November Paul McCartney (with Youth as "The Fireman") released "Electric Arguments." I'm a big fan of the Beatles, particularly their faster rock numbers, and I was wondering if someone who has heard "Electric Arguments" and is familiar with the Beatles could tell me how good it would be to a Beatles fan.

Two Part to this question. This is the Grey Album with out the crap of Yoko. I am very proud of Paul in doing something that feels this powerful again. I thought all the guys post Beatles, really did a lot of pluff with expections here and there. This is really a good album, I expected it to suck so this is a very welcomed suprise, especially from someone who loves Skinny Puppy - 1928 jazz in taste of music that just works for the here and now.
