Man o War live in tropical waters, like off Hawaii or the Indian Ocean, sweeping the ocean with their dangling tentacles for food. They eat anything that comes in contact with them as they drift, including fish and plankton.
They have a symbiotic relationship with a few fish species, those fish are immune to the toxins in the stinging tentacles, this makes them important to those animals in terms of survival.
In addition, it is itself a favorite food of the Loggerhead Turtle. See here for more information on these interesting creatures:

why do marine environments need man-o-wars?
Doing school assignment on blue bottles or the man-o-war and need to know why the marine environment needs them? Please help.
