What is the proper American Flag Etiquette for flying a flag at half staff that looks like this?

I would like to be honoring the victims of the Fort Hood Shooting by flying my American Flag at half staff but I do not know the proper way to do so with this style of flag. This is a picture very close in approximation to my own flag.

As stated above (correctly) fly the flag in the only position you have available. Flag Etiquette were not written with wall mounted flags in mind and generally don't apply to them since you are limited to how to display the flag.

Great job I found this at the bottom of your source link.

~quote
When a US flag cannot be lowered because it is mounted either on an indoor flag set or on a small pole made for porch or window display, tying a black bow above a full- staffed flag properly indicates mourning.

Looks like a black bow it is.

Very interesting. I don't think I've ever seen a black bow over a flag before. Thanks, guys!

Good question, bw. I used to have one like that, too. I now have a bracket that supports both positions. I would say to fly it in the only position you have available and that that is honoring them.
