external market
Sometimes referred to as the Euromarket, the external market consists of securities that are issued outside the jurisdiction of any single country and are offered to investors in multiple countries simultaneously. They tend to hold greater risks due to non-uniform regulation standards, but offer easy access to investors.

I am from Portugal and I do business both local and international. The local part, i.e., my targeted customers in Portugal are what I would define as my internal market. The international clients, or outside of Portugal, say Spain, are what I would define as my external market. That's it. Simple, but why complicate, right?
Hope this helps

The easiest way to give you a layman example about the difference between the two is like this: I am from Portugal and I do business both local and international. The local part, i.e., my targeted customers in Portugal are what I would define as my internal market. The international clients, or outside of Portugal, say Spain, are what I would define as my external market. That's it. Simple, but why complicate, right?
