In my opinion, Telekinesis isn't and shouldn't be possible. Think about it, in order for and object or something to move, some sort of energy has to be exerted upon it. We can add energy to it to make it move by hitting it with something such as using our hand, foot, etc. but it is not possible to add energy to an object using your mind. There is no avenue for the energy to take and travel through. ( You don't have a rod of energy coming from you're head openly targeting whatever you please to guide and redirect it, it would be supernatural. ) Basically, if you can't get energy to the object, it cannot move.

Well, you're trying to get your neurons to learn a new circuit without any feedback, which is close to impossible if you study how the actual learning process works on a neurological level, however, theoretically, given that you've already got some neurons trained to move things areound at distances just under a meter, if you cut your arm off and then use your imagination to pretend you're reaching out and lifting the object, you might be able to do some telekinesis at arms length that way.
