There have only been hoaxes. Mostly not even elaborate. If you ask about a specific one I will try to find some details but there are too many (all different) to discuss in general. However, note that those in recent decades are all amateur archaeologists from church groups not professionals with degrees.

Given the sheer number of species (there are 1.5 million different animals, just to start) that had to have been on that ark, either God used a shrink ray, destroyed the evidence, or it didn't exist.
