Is it possible to make the value of the Mahalo dollar flexible? So they could be traded like other currency?

"Last night in after hour trading the Mahalo experienced frenzied trading, increasing by 200%, expect more of the same tommorow as the new currency experiences the most dramatic entrance into the world currency market in recent memory."
Could something like this be possible?

We could trade in Mahalo dollars now, but there is no marketplace where all the trades could be tracked to determine the prevailing exchange rate.

For example if you wanted M$50 to give out on tips and you didn't want to pay Mahalo $50 US for it, you could offer to pay someone $45 US by Paypal in return for a tip of M$50.

There aren't enough of us to make up much of a market though. :)
