Setting up a monetary reward system seems to draw traffic and contributions. Take a closer look at Mahalo's setup. It might be worth implementing a similar arrangement.

You might even host a page on Mahalo that gives more information about your site. Or create a partnership with Mahalo like ConundrumLand did. There aren't very many contributions under Humor here anymore. Maybe links and imports from your site would spice things up for everyone!

i. Post the link to your site in all the e-mails you sent. You can use the link as a signature to the e-mails. You can keep your professional or business mails out of this.

ii. Post the above URL (link) in all related group discussions, forums, groups, social networking sites, Twitter, discussion threads etc.

iii. You can also avail some free advertising services available on the internet.

They will increase traffic to your website and eventually interested visitors will contribute their jokes therein.
