Which websites are good for researching driving laws
For example, you may be driving across many states or across different countries on holidays to get to the beach you like. If you wanted to check the driving laws in every different place you were going to drive through - where could you start? I have read about people getting arrested for driving infractions in places different than where they come from and it sounds like the laws can be very different. .

In the United States, your driving is generally governed by the state in which you received your driver's license. There are exceptions, and there are gotchas, but you won't end up in jail for any of them anymore so long as you observe the posted speed limit and don't drive like an idiot. That being said, we got pulled over for making a u-turn in Memphis, Tennessee, something that would have been legal outside city limits. I would guess that most countries have a site where you can see the driving code, but the truth is that unless you have driven in that country, you are generally better using public transportation or hailing a cab. For instance, if traffic drives on the other side of the road, you run a serious risk of death in a head-on collision.
