I think a Standard Poodle with a practical haircut would be the best dog for the Obamas. One, poodles are less allergenic than other dogs. Two, poodles do not shed nearly as much as other dogs because their coats are more like hair than fur. Three, poodles have a good temperament, are good with kids and can stand a busy lifestyle that the Obamas will lead.
So long as the haircut isn't all poofy and bouffanty, the poodle would be a great Obama family dog.
