Dog's don't die with that stuff. Most dogs will be cautious of things that taste terrible to them. If they eat any of it, they will hate it. My dog did the first time she tasted it.
We used that cheap stuff and none of the puppies died.

Unless your dog is eating dirt that you irrigate the grass with, or you don't change their water, or you walk in and litter the carpet and food of your pet with the salts, you should be fine. Dog's don't die with that stuff. Most dogs will be cautious of things that taste terrible to them. If they eat any of it, they will hate it. My dog did the first time she tasted it.

No, it is NOT safe for pets to get this stuff on their paws, because they'll lick it up. It often contains chemicals which are poisonous to them. Check this stuff out:

Looks like some of the salts contain chemicals that may poison your pets as well as cut their paws when they walk on the crystals. Safe Paw Ice Melter claims to be safe for your pets and children.
