Next Question
You should look for the category of dog toys called "dog puzzles." For example we have this one with a jar and a rope that we fill with kibble that keeps the dogs playing with it for an hour.

Also, having one dog is MORE work than two in my experience. When you have two they play with each other.
I hope this helps!

If you want to calm your dog down, you might try to buy some of these DVDs for dogs to watch. http://www.amazon.com/Dog-Television-Dogs/dp/B000PCZQXE/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1228612369&sr=8-1

http://www.mahalo.com/border-collie Here are some information links and suggested resources and books. You have a working dog that probably needs to work at something or it gets into trouble. Found a lot of links in the bookstore that looked promising, maybe your local library has or can get some of those resources in for you on interlibrary loan for less cost than buying them. Have you also considered a dog walker or pet sitter? or leaving them somewhere where they can also "work" for the day while you work? eg. volunteer them to be trained as a therapy dog for nursing homes, hospitals for days? are you near an airport where border collies are trained and work to scare away birds from the runways all day? is there a dog trainer supplying films/tv with dogs who needs a border collie for work on the set days? or during the week? Then you could possibly also increase your household revenue from the "work" performed by your dog during the week. Depending on how much it is, maybe you can retire also from your "day job" and let the dog work for a while :)
