Does money buy success in sports?

Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Money certainly doesn't buy success in sports. If it did, the New York Yankees would win the world series every year, as they have by far the highest payroll in all of baseball.

As with anything, money can only take you so far.

I'd like to think no. I think it's the other way around. Success brings the money. Most of the professional athlete's bust their rears to be at the top of their game and strive to earn better paychecks. Curious as to if you think money does buy success?
