Does anyone know the best place to get DNA testing for genealogical purposes?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I've worked as a professional genealogist. Here's where my family had our tests run: www.famiytreedna

Family Tree DNA was one of the first companies in the field. It is a commercial genetic genealogy company that partners with Arizona Research Labs housed at the University of Arizona.

The National Geographic GENOGRAPHIC PROJECT partnered with Family Tree DNA.

Hi, I would like to know if this test was able to determine the percentage of your ethnic background, was the cost reasonale and how exactly did you acquire the kit. Your response is greatly appreciated.
