Do you still watch "kids" movies?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I do and I love them. I find that I have not matured into a person that enjoys many of the more violent or mature themes that are in other types of movies. I like a simple kids story with a simple happy ending if at all possible.

No, not really. I'm being strict when I consider this question. I recently got to catch Spy Kids 3d while at my parents' house, and that felt like a real kids movie. Compare that to something like Up or Toy Story, where there are little jokes and references that only adults will respond to. To me, those are not strictly kids movies. So while I still watch tons of animation, the majority of what I watch is meant for teens or adults.

Yes, I still do. I love watching children's movies because all of them offer moral lessons and they're fun! Actually, I've just watched "Nim's Island".

I sure do...there is nothing better than running away from adult life and enjoying the simplicity of the life of a car, a robot, or any other mythical creature. And the effects are WAY better than they were when I was a kid

I am not sure about kids' movies, but I do watch animated ones like Barnyard and Finding Nemo. I can't say they are really kiddie at least imo, they are suited to adults as well. Each of such carries a message with it.
I have always loved watching them :)

Best,
BrownEyed

No, I'm more into more adult movies-meaning only up to R rated. I like a lot of romantic comedies, romance and adventure. I also like the scary moves like the new Freddy Krueger one that is coming out. Toy Story, Up and movies like that really don't interest me and can't hold my interest. I watched Wall-E at a friend's house that I was visiting. He had three kids that were really into it and I think he was too. I just fell asleep.

The only "kids" movies I think I'd like would be like Alvin and the Chipmunks or Hotel for Dogs. :-)

Like Vic and Ai ai, I like kids' movies because they are wholesome. I loved Sky High, for example, and the Narnia movies. I think my favorite kids movie is Lady and the Tramp.

One kids movie that I despised because it was not truly a kids movie, though, was Bridge to Terabithia (2007). The main girl character in this movie dies. It is a real downer of a movie. I cannot believe Disney made this movie and called it a kids' movie. Do NOT let kids watch it alone. Heck, don't watch it alone as an adult.
