I prefer CSI to NCIS, and only the original CSI. Both shows have their own high and low points, for me NCIS is too corny and someone they manage to fill every stereotype possible. For a show that has CSI in the title NCIS seems to rely on a lot of old-school bust down the door detective work and not so much on the science. I think CSI is pretty much the exact opposite of what I said about NCIS.
However, CSI does a horrible job of portraying the conditions in which evidence is collected and tested. I'm not an expert, but I'm sure that sure that you don't collect DNA samples from a murder scene with your hair loose around your head. Not to mention the speed and accuracy that all of that is done. I wish we could search for suspects in a nationwide database with a partial shoe-print and find the right person every time.
