Do I need a Wide Screen HDTV to operate an Apple TV?
I'm a little confused about the Apple TV. This is from the Apple website:
"Get connected with Apple TV.
Setting up Apple TV is about as simple as it gets. Just plug the power cord into the wall and connect Apple TV to your widescreen TV using an HDMI cable (sold separately). Since everything streams wirelessly to Apple TV, that’s all you need. Well, that and a comfy couch."http://www.apple.com/appletv/
Why would I want to do that, when I have a wide screen, high definition TV? What am I missing?

As long as your TV has an HDMI connection you can use Applet TV. If it doesn't have an HDMI input then it will not.
