In order to correctly treat the fungus it is important to go to the doctor. Toe fungus can live in the nail, under the nail, and in the nail bed. It can easily be spread from one nail to the other. Often, it may appear the fungus has been treated but it can still thrive underneath the nail.
This article can help you understand the fungus and how it is treated.

Get some condis crystals (potassium permanganate http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potassium_permanganate) about 1g or less
Fill luke-warm (mildly hot) water into a basket or basin you can easily place your foot/feet in. Water must no be hot!
Dissolve Condis Crystals in it. You can see water turn into dark purple color
Dip your full foot/feet in it for about 5-10mins. Water level must be at least to cover your toe or ankle.
Do this for about 3 or 4 days continue. Your nails and foot may discolor but eventually it'll go off.

If medication is being applied according to the directions and you still have a problem there might be something else going on that needs attention. See a Doctor.
Nail fungus takes longer to resolve and requires a different treatment.
Something else that will help (also helps with foot odor) is to take a stiff brush to the callouses on the bottom of your feet. Soak in Epsom Salts/hot water until the callouses are white and soft then scrub until they are are gone and your skin is pink and soft (not bloody). Soak again.
Throw away (buy new) shoes that may harbor the fungus (like thongs/flip-flops/beach shoes, shower shoes) and clean the rugs, shower mats and bathroom surfaces/grout. Avoid using public showers without proper foot covering (like new shower shoes).
The medication may be doing it's job but you keep exposing yourself to the same source of the problem.
Treatment may require two week or more to be effective. Ask your Pharmacist. Good luck!

For nail fungus, you may try vinegar, drops of vinegar to the toes can cure and kill the fungi in your toes as I've read. I have not tried it, though, but it may help you, no harm in trying. After all, you did the important thing first, getting medications for it and nothing worked.
Vinegar seems to have a lot of medicinal benefits as claimed.
--Cures foot fungus by soaking one's foot on the vinegar solution
--Relieves cramps (legs, muscle cramps)
--Relieves earache pain
--Relieves jellyfish stings
--Relieves sunburn pain
Well, there are numerous benefits of vinegar as I just discovered from my research, thanks for your question.here is a site: http://recipes.howstuffworks.com/the-health-benefits-of-vinegar1.htm
Hope it'll work for you.

Smear Vicks Vap-o-rub on the affected area every day. It might take a while but I know it's effective because my hubby does this and it works for him. His yucky toenails are growing in white now. I've also heard that soaking your feet in Listerine will help.
