First, if you are interested in learning more about The Smile Train, please go to their website: http://www.smiletrain.org/site/PageServer or for Operation Smile, please go to http://www.operationsmile.org/ Of course, either charity would be happy to receive a monetary donation or if you are a nurse, dentist, plastic surgeon, anesthesiologist, pediatrician, pediatric intensivist, biomedical technician, speech pathologist there may also be medical volunteer opportunities.

I don't think either organization is "better" than the other, they are simply two charities who provide similar services. The Smile Train is totally focused on cleft lip and palate problems while Operation Smile works on cleft lips, cleft palates and in addition to other facial deformities.
