You could do the same on other question sites such as yahoo answers or , post in forums, of course post it on twitter. Also use Facebook and Myspace to let your friends know via message or blogs.
You can easily create a Squidoo lens about it, write an article about it at HubPages, or a How-to on "how to increase Autism awareness" on E-How.
These are things you can do today, and by the 23rd you should have some great results!
Thanks! Keep up the great work!

Social media is your best option. Do you have a Stumbleupon account? A Twitter account? Plurk? Digg? It's a bit late but if you get busy you could generate a little buzz, even from new accounts. You need as many friends as possible.

Find a few food sites or news about autism and send them around on the internet to schools and parents associations and news people, If you like short comments, use twitter, If you like to defend the cause, open an account on stumbleupon and start referring good autism sites. Promote the book "animals in translation" by autistic Temple Brandin who made a living by using her autism to understand animals.

1. Design a very simple webpage explaining how to participate 2. Call every tv and radio station in small to mid town size towns and see if they have an free announcement page or time and ask that they promote it by sending people to your simple website for two to three days ahead of time.

I am trying to use my causecast page and blog post as a go to page for info. I have yet to even set up my own website. I think there are just way too many autism sites and everyone wants to have their own. I think about 50 could go away. Generation Rescue and Causecast are the best.

1. make a video and post it on youtube. Send it your friends. Make it viral. 2. Invite anyone in this forum to come up with good slogan or catchphrase for the day. (Offer litte cash incentives for that)
3. Start a yahoogroups / googlegroups/Orkut. Like minded people will flock to it. Then you can plan for better ideas with the whole group.
4. send free e-greeting to your friends mentioning about this day.
5. If you have a local group, do a little people celebration or meeting and inform the local newspaper
6. Wear a T-Shirt with DAY and Date mentioned on it. Any catchprase is added attraction.
7. print a sticker and have it on your cars bumper

I still afraid of the word viral. The catch phrase idea is great. I have sent the word out on groups. I am not sure how egreetings work. I only have 4 days I doubt I would get t-shirts made that fast. I live in a town of less than a 1000 people and only about 3 have a computer on dial up... so bumper sticker would not help. Thanks for your ideas.

Since I am only on Twitter and Causecast I do not think ping would work for me. I would appreciate it if you could mention it for me.
