First--bravo to you for trying to quite smoking (both). The cigarettes are so bad for you (you know this) and so it's great that you are trying to quit. The marijuana is also not healthy.
The first question is what are your symptoms mostly from--are they from withdrawal of nicotine in the cigarettes or from withdrawal from marijuana? My guess is that you are having both nicotine withdrawal and marijuana withdrawal symptoms. Hard to know because I don't know how much of each you are using.
So, there is probably some overlap here, with stopping both at the same time being worse than stopping one at a time.
Because you seem to be suffering so much while attempting to quite smoking both, you should certainly treat them correctly.
For the cigarette/nicotine withdrawal, I would strongly recommend that you talk to your doctor or to a pharmacist about using a nicotine patch or chewing nicotine gum. These are very helpful. You must use them correctly and be under the care of a doctor, but they are very helpful to people.
I don't know what is used to treat marijuana withdrawal. I will always tell people I don't know something instead of making up a half baked answer that I am not sure of.
A tip as you research on your own further--beware of cures or methods that are touted on the internet or have not been researched well. Many people will offer you methods that use herbs, fruits, diets, etc. You must remember that simply because these have worked for one or two people does not mean they will work for you. In order to be sure that a treatment, be it a pill, a patch or anything else, will work, you should look to see (online) or ask your doctor or whoever is offering you the treatment this question: "Has this treatment been proven effective in a randomized controlled clinical trial, or a large, well matched prospective cohort trial?".
Any doctor or medical provider worth their degree will know what these are and should be able to answer your question.
FINALLY--perhaps you should consider seeing a type of physician called an "addiction specialist". Often these are psychiatrists, which is fine--it doesn't mean you are crazy. It's just that because mood symptoms are so common in withdrawal, a psychiatrist/addiction specialist can help follow your symptoms and help you with treatment.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Best of luck. Quitting is hard but worth it.

Ginger beer or ale might help with your stomach. Quitting both at the same time may be more challenging than quitting one at a time, I wonder if you might want to first try quitting the nicotine, and then the MJ? That way the MJ could help mitigate some of nicotine's withdrawal pains (which are usually worse than MJ's; MJ isn't nearly as physiologically addictive as tobacco).

I just talked to my friend about quitting mj but not cold turkey and he says rolling smaller ones or packing things less helped a whole lot. But if you want to quit both cold turkey, good for you! I say keep going for it, and if you feel like you're totally failing, then maybe roll the smallest j you can or smoke a couple of pulls of one cigarette and then keep at it. Don't decide now that you want to quit just one of them at a time because that's not where your mind is right now. If you don't make it that long, don't give up if you drop off.
Back to your question: ginger ale works. If you need something with a kick, ginger beer works too. So does alka seltzer and chewing gum. Try eating a banana for some potassium or an orange for some natural energy. Don't eat apples if you're not used to them because it might make you more nauseous.

Go to your local health food store, you must buy the herb skullcap in the little tincture form. Skullcap was how I quit smoking, works wonders it is very mild and non addictive, it works on the nerves so it reduces iritability, also if you are like me you may find that getting to bed is difficult for the first week after you quite, I drank kava tea 30 minutes before bed, and had no problem falling asleep, use the yogi brand and use two teabags in a half a mug of water (so you don't have to wake up to pee) I know there was some concern about recomending drugs on mahalo, these are all very mild herbs sold at any health food store, there is usually someone at the health food store who may be able to recomend other herbs, but these helped me quit.

I think some doctors (in California, anyway, where marijuana is decriminalized) might suggest marijuana for this. DISCLAIMER: I'm not a doctor and I'm definitely not offering medical advice. In fact, this questions sounds like one for the pros. You should talk to a doctor as soon as possible.
