Is sucralose safe? We don't know for sure, but it does not appear to be causing adverse effects in people.

The truth is that whenever something new like this comes out, some people will be afraid. Others will do their utmost to make it look dangerous. Yet others will believe any rumors that circulate about the product.

I checked Snopes, the best myth-busting site on the Internet, and found nothing specifically about Splenda. Another objective source I found says basically what I did: we're not sure how safe sucralose is yet.

I posted the link to a Snopes article about aspartame myths, to show how rumors about sweeteners can spread.

I myself have heard that sucralose has been linked to cancer but that it is impossible to scientificly link cancer to food as the cancer could have been caused by other factors.

Splenda has sucralose in it. Sucralose can trigger anxiety and depression.
I have seen so many websites about the dangers of splenda.
