Did The Monkees and The Beatles record together?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

To my knowledge, the closest thing that actually happened was Peter Tork playing on George Harrison's soundtrack to the movie Wonderwall. Apparently some of the Monkees sat in on recording sessions with the Beatles, but they didn't actually record anything together.
Another interesting bit of Beatles/Monkees trivia is that Davy Jones performed on the Ed Sullivan show the same night the Beatles debuted (he was in the cast of Oliver! at the time).

Very cool, blueflower! Thanks!
But, how can we be sure that the Monkees didn't *pretend* to play when they sat in with the Beatles? And, isn't that Davy saying "number nine" about 30 seconds into that track? ;-)
