I will celebrate National Donut Day by making it the only day all year that I don't eat a donut. It isn't right to end a donut's life on its day of commemoration.

Agreed. I gave donuts a reprieve on National Donut Day as well, and find that my conscience is squeaky clean as a result. :)

Wow...I was not aware that today was National Donut Day! I am celebrating by texting my hubby and telling him to bring home some chocolate donuts. I will eat them while watching The Simpsons and the great donut devourer known as Homer.

I didn't know there was such a day. Sadly I have not eaten a donut in over 5 years. I used to love them, but can no longer eat them as I have Celiac disease and can not eat gluten. I used to absolutely love the glazed donut balls, and if I can find the time perhaps I will try making some this weekend.
