Will these display a total of 1, 2 or 3 different images?

== If 1 or 2 different images what you need is just a "VGA" extender so that 2 screens display trhe same thing, ans some cable for the 3rd screen.
=== on laptops you usually have a second plug. This is where you would pludg the extender, so that the 2 external screens share the same dispaly.
=== on desktops: if they are recent they might already have a 2nd plug screen. BEWARE it might be VGA or DVI. Otherwise you will have to add a display card that will REPLACE your standard diosplay, ie you will have 2 scren connectors working.

== if 3 different images, or if the solutions above do not work for you: you should use a usb connector/ extender such as those proposed by Matrox.

First you need to make sure your video card can support it. ie have three VGA or comparable outputs. Im not sure if you can splice them (use one and split it to to). I have never done that.

Then after you made sure your vid card can support it then you (assuming you ahve nvidia card) you download there nvidia manager. This will allow you to graphically view the three screens and alter each resolution and order individually.

What kind of vid card do you have?

If you want your screen split onto three monitors (Example) then I recommend getting a TripleHead2Go,or if you want the monitors to be connected together but posses indepentedent screen resolutions (Example) then you will need ether a graphic card which supports triple or quad outputs which can be expensive (around $200 USD) or you can use two graphics cards.
