Yes. High cholesterol is associated with a diet high in animal fats, such as meat and cheese. The hard fat component of animal fat, ie, those saturated fats that are solid at room temperature, tend to clog the pores causing acne. I have written about how to handle the problem of acne elsewhere (See my answer to the question why do I have goose bump like bumps on my nose and how can I removed them). Basically, if you can keep these hard fats from circulating in your blood stream, then you can get rid of your acne. The most common strategy to accomplish this is to eat a low fat diet. If you are athletically inclined, and you can exercise heavily, especially to the point of ketosis, where you exhaust your glycogen stores, and get to that state of metabolizing circulating and stored fat, then you can also eliminate the acne problem.
