The next best professional is a doctor. They can at least monitor your progress, advise on diet and exercise that helps, can advise you about alternative treatments like any herbal medication that might help. And they can prescribe things if you absolutely need it.
I advise having a support person, someone who knows EXACTLY what you're like, and that you will listen to even when you don't want to. You must remember to do what they say - you trust them. And have faith in their help.
Now, all the things to keep a healthy body and mind you can do yourself. You can eat right, you can exercise, you can grow things in the garden ( that's my therapy ), you learn to meditate if that's something you like, otherwise learn a calming technique that will work.
My only source for this information is myself and a good friend :) But a doctor and a good support person can be just as good as therapy if you really are true to yourself and have a healthy lifestyle and do what the doctor says :) Good luck
