How to remove tonsil stones?

Please do not copy and paste from websites.

How can I remove tonsil stones? I've tried many ways including a water pik, but I can't seem to fool my gag reflex :)

Any suggestions?

Brush your teeth with an oxygenating toothpaste such as Therabreath or BreathRX. These are the best toothpastes for this!

Gargle with warm salt and water before you brush your teeth. Gargling with warm salt water will help you prevent them. Also, after brushing your teeth gargle with a mouthwash such as an alcohol free mouthwash. Try Smartmouth mouthwash or BreahRX, it has two pumps which you mix together before using. Smartmouth can leave your mouth feeling a little dry for about half an hour but results should last you 24 hours.

Use a water pik or an electric toothbrush or battery operated toothbrush and press it against the tonsil stone to loosen it. You can also try using a cotton swab or toothpick to loosen it.

You may want to use a dental pick or swab as shown below to assist:

Use a dental pik or a floss stick to push it out.

Scrape your tongue when you brush your teeth.

Once you have removed the stones, you will need to be sure your mouth is free from debris, food, and bacteria. Gargle again with warm water, then with a mouthwash.

Also, nasal drops are good if you're trying to permanently rid your mouth of your tonsil stones. Because tonsil stones are made up partially of post nasal drips, nasal drops can prevent them from coming back.

Don't forget to floss, as nothing replaces real floss!

I never heard of 'tonsil stones' so I had to look it up to find out what you were talking about. I have no experience in this. The site http://www.tonsilstones.com/ I checked out suggested this

THERABREATH system

I hope this helps.
