When looking to buy a house, it would be a good idea to have someone in the know to inspect it with you. They will see potential problems where you wont. But once you have found that the house is structurally sound, you want to check the area that is around your house. Wait for a very good rain then go and inspect the house and neighborhood again. Does it have standing water? Is there any flooding in the neighborhood that may cause a flooding problem to your house?

Inspect your house again on the weekend or in the evening to see if there are any issues concerning neighbors living close by. And finally, do a search on crime in the area your house sits in.

Hire someone to look at the house with you. Someone who understands about foundations, wiring, plumbing, basement leaks, roofs, and stuff like that to make sure everything is up to standard. Look for a house that has been on the market for a while. The owners might be more eager to sell for less - but be careful - it could mean there;'s something wrong with the house. If you can do some work yourself, buy a house that needs some cosmetic work

There are a number of things to thing about when you're looking for a house. You want to make sure the house meets your needs, and that its structurally sound with no big surprises coming your way, but the most important thing to consider is location. You want to make sure that he house is located in a desirable neighborhood, with real estate values rising, not falling. Mahalo has some great information on the How to Buy a House page.

First thing is the location to your work place, whether the house is located near your house , so you don't have to think about gas , maybe transportation .Secondly pick a house that is located near a shopping mart to enable you for groceries shop and sight-seeing .Thirdly pick a house that is far from the construction site , which will interrupt your beauty sleep and woke up in a complete disaster.Lastly pick a house based on your requirement of space , such as you want to make a garden in your porch , a garage besides your house or to make a fruit farm

when you are going to purchase house you must ask your life partner should accompany with you, ask her to verify the requirements of her first ,with surrounding atmosphere and in addition to the location .
Have a consultation with the building engineer to advise the construction quality and cost of the building , decide the cost based on the existing rates and finalize.

Apart from the house itself, I would say the lawn. It's the first thing every passerby sees, so if you have a beautiful lawn your whole house will look in good condition.

Most places have lawns with huge slopes that prevents grass from growing evenly and causes dirt patches. Also, check the soil condition some places have very poor soil. Although, it can be fixed fertilizers.
