I would say it really depends on what you consider to be heavy metal. As far as what I consider heavy metal, I would say Bruce Dickenson from Iron Maiden. Not only is he an amazing singer on their recordings, he sings equally well live, even though he is almost 50! As far as classic rock is concerned, I would agree and say Freddie Mercury. As far as 80's metal is concerned, Sebastian Bach from Skid Row, no contest. He is amazing!

I grew up listening to Queen's music so I'd pick Freddie Mercury. I like their songs and up until now, Bohemian Rhapsody is my personal favorite! ^^

If we're talking modern day, I have to go Mr. D. Randall Blythe of Lamb of God.

He's dynamic, creative and a brilliant writer with an AMAZING voice. And he's mad as hell all the time...
