Lol. Well it seems to be all on personal preference. I guess for me, I wouldn't want to be dating, or be together with anyone that's over 28. Now if I was dating Britney Spears (and her crazy life), then maybe it would be an exception. Haha Don't know how old Britney Spears is exactly though.

Someone is never too old to date someone else. That is the misconception we all have. Remember Anna Nicole Smith? She married J. Howard Marshall who was 63 years older than she was. He was 89 and she was 26. However, it's good to have standards. Maybe you say you would not date someone who is 15 years older than you are, but maybe you will meet someone great who is that much older than you are, and really enjoy dating them. It has happened before. You should pick a number that you feel comfortable with, but never should turn down someone for a date just because their age. There are a lot of other things that are more important. Always remember, age is just a number!

Why do we care about the entire age/morality argument? If I date someone who is of legal age of consent but 20+ years younger - that makes me a cradle-robber? And if I marry someone 20+ years older - that makes me a gold-digger? Why can't you just be with someone who fulfills you (or in Jerry Maguire terms - Completes you)? I say - forget age and society's view on it and just be happy!

I'd say it's relative to your age. A 20 year old dating a 30 year old would be seen as strange to some, but a 40 year old dating a 50 year old isn't usual at all. I'm 21 too. My boyfriend is 27, and I'd say that we're very happy together - he's "young at heart" as they say. It just depends on your personalities. What limits your set depends entirely on your personal ethics...and facing the knowledge that you could end up a young widow/er.

I've always thought that it's not so much about age as it is about experience. This is noticeable when you're younger, for example, when a high school student tries to date a college student, or a college student wants to date someone out of college who has a fulltime job and bills to pay. You find yourself with little foundation in common, and you attribute it to a difference in age when it is really a difference simply in what you've done (or had the chance to do) with your life. The same applies to grownups - someone who rents an apartment will not feel the pain of someone who pays a $3500/month mortgage and is worried about interest rates. Someone who works the night shift at Walmart is not going to have a great deal of "So how was work?" conversation with a significant other who manages a hedge fund and moves billions of dollars around each day.
